"Creativity is contagious. Pass it on."
- Albert Einstein
Art can’t really be described, yet it is something that is created from a passion and love within the soul. Amanda got her start as an artist when she was just 5 years old. She had an amazing art teacher that not only inspired her to follow her dreams but to look at the world in a whole new light, full of curiosity and creativeness. Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in graphic design and photography in 2010. She runs her own artworks company, Mandolin Artworks, established in 2007, choosing to use her skills to show beauty to the world through her lens and art. She also dabbles in the vintage/antiques business on the side, by running her own online Etsy business in vintage clothing and items, Variety Vintage by ALD.
In her free time, she enjoys the company of her adorable puppy, Shasta, exploring Kansas City and learning new art techniques. She can always be found checking out local coffee shops, perusing the City Market for fresh produce and unique garage sale finds, spending time in front of the Claude Monet paintings at The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, learning how to sew, and meeting new people. Amanda has a great passion for art, plays/theater, photography, music, reading and life in itself. Amanda has a love for the world and a passionate heart for the work that she does.
